2016 Clukey Camp a Success!
In June 2016, Olympian Julia Clukey and the Kennebec Valley YMCA hosted Julia Clukey’s Camp for Girls. This year marked the fifth year of the popular summer camp that was again sold out with more than 109 campers. The camp featured a wide range of activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature walks, field sports, arts and crafts, theater and music.
The camp on Maranacook Lake in Readfield is designed for girls entering 4th-8th grade as a place to develop self-confidence and a healthy lifestyle. For more information about the registration process or scholarship information, call the Kennebec Valley YMCA at 207-622-9622.
